Scenes from My Sayonara Concert

As you may know, barely three days have passed since I left my life in Japan for a fresh start in the Greater NYC area.

It still feels like a vacation, a short visit home, but I’m sure that in about a month, I will be puzzled as to why I’m still here and yet so busy I won’t have much time to think at all!

Here is a clip from my Sayonara Concert held at Bar Nasa in Okusawa, Tokyo last Saturday. Thank you so much to everyone who came and for your continuous support. I’m so grateful.

Incoming: Valentine’s Day! Tokyo edition

Oh yeah. It’s that time.

I would question that love is at all a part of the equation, but my local florist revived the idea.

To encourage the true spirit of the day, which is measured not in expensive chocolate gifts but in romantic and kind gestures, he will give a flower to each woman who stops by.

Man to woman. No obligation chocolates needed.

But for those who love the commercial side, here is some shopping porn for you.

Back in Tokyo

I have returned after nearly a month-long hiatus.

Back to the city where the music took off. Back to the music.

Being in New York – surrounded by family and friends – was a breath of fresh air. It opened my eyes, heart and soul to my needs and dreams. Long forgotten sparks were reignited. New songs were drafted. Artistic juices flowed. Somehow, I’m more productive at home than I am here.

Now, Tokyo awaits my revival. Jet-lag is a friend of none, but I will not make it my enemy, either. After all, early mornings are a blessing in disguise.

So what’s next? Music, of course. Starting with two shows this week and many more to come.

See you on stage.

New Year, New Ways

2014 was a blast. It had all the intensities of life packed into a short bracket of time. I don’t know that I could handle another 2014 in its roller coaster of life ways, but I am grateful for it.

Thus, we begin a fresh year. Full of potential, bursting with unexpected adventures and possibilities. For once in my life, a year completely unplanned. And yet, 2015 is going to change absolutely everything.

Change is coming. I have a secret I can’t wait to share. Be patient. I’ll return with it in due time.

New Year’s Resolutions

It’s that time of year again.
The time to evaluate our past year. The ups and downs. The things that made us happy. The things we wished we’d done differently.
Then comes acceptance. Nothing can be changed. But we can move forward.
It is at this tender time when people tend to make resolutions.

I am not one of these people anymore. I have long devoted myself to continuous self-improvement, which means resolutions are acceptable year long. And I make them quite often.

If I had to pick one for the sake of argument, it would have to be to follow my heart.
This is the first year of freedom. No set plans and endless possibilities. This is the time to jump in and dive deep.

This year is about casting aside fear and jumping into life.
